Sunsets

I love the evening and what it brings. I have been for­tu­nate through­out my life to have jobs where I wasn’t always stuck inside all of the time and got to enjoy the out doors I even enjoyed it, if it was in the mid­dle of the sum­mer in the  desert in Ari­zona or the Mojave in California.

The evening brings a color palette that is like eat­ing a swirled sher­bet. I have some ele­vated loca­tions any­where from just a few hun­dred feet to sev­eral thou­sand. It is a spec­tac­u­lar event to watch the pro­gres­sion of the set­ting sun through haze, fog or even clouds. It is an even in it self but the real event comes any­where from five to thir­tys= min­utes after.  Since the La Nina storms hit it has been mostly cloudy. Some clear morn­ings but then the sun­sets and the clouds are thin­ning it is like lis­ten­ing to a well con­ducted symphony.

I will be Shoot­ing as many sun­sets through out the year, almost a 356 project.  There are a few days I am un-able to amke it to a van­tage point where a view of the Cal­i­for­nia coast is unobstructed. leave a com­ment please. I am always amazed to see such won­der­ful sights. I am for­tu­nate to have so many loca­tions to shoot from and the longes drive I have is about an hour give or take with traf­fic and road con­di­tions. One of the site I recently start uti­liz­ing is just ten min­utes form my home with a gru­el­ing hike to the top of a 1600 foot hill. These recent sun­sets have been shot there. Enjoy what you see.
