Every person in the world has been gifted with a talent/skill and it meshes with their personality perfectly(see below). I pray that people find their gifting if they don’t know it. I think we need to come together using the abilities.

Finding my gifting was quite the journey and yet I can’t help but pursue it with unequaled passion. I need help being a voice of the those who are oppressed, unloved, judged to be unworthy living daily in sustained crisis. I want to bring change to those who are in crisis by bringing together the right people, to educate, love, walk beside, and mentor with Gods love.

There are two stories I need help with. The first is “On The Street”. You can help in many ways, if you are interested in helping or even being a part of the story, contact me at help@believefotografie.com you can also pass this on to friends, circles, and followers. The farther this reaches into the world the more that can be done.

1 Cor 12: 27-30

27Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular. 28And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues. 29Are all apostles? are all prophets? are all teachers? are all workers of miracles? 30Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret? 31But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet show I unto you a more excellent way.

I have worked a couple of different career fields in my life. It didn’t matter whether I was a recruiter, working as a manager for a commercial aviation firm or demolition company. Each job had systems for keeping track of accounting documents, files, and employee records.  Being a business owner as a freelance photographer or otherwise is no different. If you don’t have a system, you need to establish one.  I think the best system if you work with a lot of clients is to use last name and the photography date. You can even use this format for your light room catalogs.

Have a files for the following;

Warranties

Client records

receipts separated into categories;

Equipment; repairs, maintenance, purchase.

Support: office supplies, utilities, internet access, insurance, rent, vehicle repairs and maintenance(if you do location work)

Marketing: printing, business cards, postage, hosting fees for website, domain, blog, etc.

Outside services: If you use a lab for film and prints, accountant, attorney.

Professional fees: APA, ASMP, classes to imporove your photography, advert skills etc.

Have a place for everything so that you can find it, if you don’t know what to do with something ask someone else what they think, try to ask is a secretary, they have to be organized and there is a standard system they use.

What about equipment, a closet is good, filing cabinets work too. Get in the habit of cleaning after a shoot and before you put it away, that way you don’t have to do it before you go shoot.  Something could happen when you are getting the gear packed and you forget to clean a lens or charge the batteries, extra memory cards, light bulbs, modeling lights

This brings me to some checklists so you can be organized. Make one for packing the gear for travel- use if for the return trip too), setting up, tear down, return trip packing, and putting it away.  Now I don’t have a lot of space but I have the top of a book shelf that is attached to my desk. Each camera has a spot.

Man should be quite capable of ruling himself, living  within the rules of society, you work for your own food, domicile, producing something of value for others to use to have a equal life.

Treat others as equals no matter what they do for a living,  education, where they are form, tall,  short, thin, over weight, or the color of their skin. When You say you are going to do something and agree to do it,  you live as a person of your word and do it. You pay your debts, live according to the effort of your work, don’t borrow what you can’t repay, don’t lie to people, be responsible for your actions, and most of all be kind.

I saw this couple as I was leaving a gas station. It looked like who ever was giving them a ride dumped them and their stuff and just took off, at least that’s what it looked like to me as I watched, I pulled into an adjacent drive and went and talked with them.. Come to find out it was true. They had some issues like others who are homeless.  I made some phone calls to try and help them out but as a couple not legally married there are not many shelters that would allow them  to stay together. I am not sure what happened to the couple.

When something happens to a person, and they are unable to work because of an injury or other problem, instead of kicking them to the curb we help them get back on their feet. providing work they are capable of doing until they can return to what they use to do, or if necessary train them for a different trade so they can come close to what they earned before. We help people live a good life, not in card board boxes, tin huts, wrapped in newspaper as a blanket.

On The Street  is about the lives of homeless people, our perception of them , what are we trying to do to help them and the gaps that need to be filled to reduce the homeless population.

If we start by treating each other they way we want to be treat the world would be much different.

The beginning of this year didn’t start out the way I intended. My plans were to be either in the middle of shooting or nearing the end of production for Invisible People – On The Street.  Why is another part of this years adventure. I have a  lot of time on my hands right now as I’m still on the mend from my injury. I know you’re wondering why the title, I am getting to it. Well with all of this time I have been able to study, research, spend time in my relationship with God…no am not going to go all Jesus freak on you. I don’t relate to Religious  people. Yes I am a Christian. I won’t deny it, I am proud of it, and if people want to condemn me for my beliefs they don’t know me. They should get to know me! What I am sharing with you was put on my heart to do so.

Early Spring Cleaning  -  is about taking the time to look at life, business/work, and the passion the burns inside of you. Look at where you are standing right now in your personal life, business/work are you really happy with where you are standing? If not I am going to try and help you through some Early Spring Cleaning.
